We were trained to be sheep.

To follow, not to lead.

We were taught that if we did what we were told and followed the rules great things would come our way.

We were praised when we followed these made up rules, so we knew we were on the right track.  But really, we were being brainwashed and molded into sheep. As sheep we would work in factories for other sheep who were following the rules made up by someone they couldn’t even name.

But things have to change. Our generation needs to realize we were tricked, that we don’t really want to be sheep, we want to be leaders.

The question is: boredom or apathy?

We’re bored.

We do care.

We have to start showing that we care or generations after us will have a desolate world to live in. Unemployment isn’t going away. Machines will get better and replace even more human sheep.

All that will be left is for someone to care.  For someone to change the status quo.

And that someone has to be us.

We have to lead the way for future generations so they won’t turn into sheep too.

    • Thanks Em! It’s a pretty new project of mine so I haven’t shared it with that many people yet. I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I’d love to talk more about books/blogs/podcasts… there are so many great and inspiring ones out there!

Hey is that one sheep in the back getting ugly with the one sheep in the front? Could be an optical illusion but….

Lots of people are acting to change the world. Lots of people are living their own lives following their own dreams. I imagine you could list many that you know or have heard of. I agree that the world is changed, but that is the story of the world. The latest change is that the fence came down. It just happens that the sheep don’t want to leave. They want their nine to five with healthcare and paid vacation. So now the sheep linger as the grass grows thin fighting for scraps.

They need to do the work to cross the desert to find the next field.

So what is that next green pasture, where should free sheep like you roam to, where or what do you want to lead to? I think I need more posts!

    • Yes, we need to cross the desert to find the next field, as you say. It’s true that most of us are too scared to do so.

More on this in future posts…
